We are a comfortable, relaxing yoga studio that practices Hatha Yoga. Hatha is a general category that includes most yoga styles. It is an old system that includes the practice of asanas (yoga postures) and pranayama (yoga breathing exercises), which help bring peace to the mind and body, preparing the body for deeper spiritual practices such as meditation.
Hatha yoga is a physical yoga that allows you to strengthen muscles and improve your balance and flexibility. Everyone is at their own level of practice and there is no judgement or competition within our practice, only encouragement.
We have classes available for all ages and levels. Each class consists of an hour of practice and involves deep breathing, stretching, flowing and holding of poses. All poses can be modified to fit your needs and level of practice. We offer a variety of class times and can also provide a private session for yourself or a group of friends. Special classes are also offered within each session and will be noted on the calendar.
Anyone who would like to give yoga a try is encouraged to come to a class, free of charge.
